STP treated water is a makeup, should not be softened. If it is soft, there is no calcium ions or magnesium ions in the system, the hardness and electrical conductivity are so low that the process of electrolysis will be slow, resulting in poor effect.

Due to the electrolysis process, the floating calcium molecules get deposited on the cathode and the water returns to the process, reduction of calcium. Typical mineral scales in hot and cold domestic water distribution systems and also in evaporative cooling systems are largely calcium carbonate.

The water is not soft at the outlet of the ElDs-Cl2, but the scale forming ions has been reduced to a level that prevents the precipitation in Water distribution system. ElDs-Cl2 will precipitate all scale forming ions, not just magnesium and calcium but other ions that are susceptible to dropping out the liquid at high pH Viz., Silica, Ferum, and Manganese etc.

Boiler water pH should be between 8.5 to 9.5, if failed to maintain the pH level, then the boiler water will start to make corrosion in the pipe lines of the boiler equipments.

The feed water should not be purified. The water should have minimum hardness and electrical conductivity, which will be speed up the process of electrolysis, resulting, effective scale separation. However, if the rust condition in the system is very serious, our ElSr can be used for removing rust also.
