PERFORMANCE REPORT ON TIAANO’S CHEMICAL FREE ELECTROLYTIC SCALE REMOVER GIVEN BY M/S. ISRO on HOT WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM

Satish Dhawan Space Centre or SHAR Centre, Sriharikota Range is a rocket launch centre operating by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It is located in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. Sriharikota Range was renamed in 2002 after ISRO's former chairman Satish Dhawan. The SDSC SHAR centre is responsible for providing Launch Base Infrastructure for the Indian Space Launching Programme. This  Centre has  the  facilities for  Solid Propellant  Processing (SPP),  Solid Propellant space Booster plant (SPROB), Static  Testing  of  Solid  Motors,  Launch  Vehicle  Integration  and  Launch Operations, Range operations comprising Telemetry, Tracking & Command Network and Mission Control Centre. Also two rockets launching operations are PSLV and GSLV had been carried out in SDSC.

In SPP division, they are facing the corrosion in the HWCS Tank and fouling on the assembled heaters inside the Tank.  To resolve/protect the corrosion and scaling, globally the recommendation is dosing the Chemicals.  But, Tiaano suggested other way with their Electrolysis method of Chemical Free Electrolytic Scale Remover System. With this system inside for more than 650 Hrs. and the observations of 650 Hrs. are as mentioned below image.

During this 650 Hrs. treatment, the ElSr system protects corrosion on the wall of the HWCS Tank. Also removed the existing scale (fouling) on the Heater coil. Hence the Tiaano’s ElSr system can separates the scale accumulated on the accessories like Heater, Condenser, Hot water circuits and makes corrosion free prevents.

ISRO expressed their satisfaction by providing the Performance Certificate on September 12, 2019.
