1. What is Scale?
Ans: When the water is boiled, the (salt) conducting materials in the water will be settled down or adhere to the wall if it is small dia. This is called scale.
2. What is mean by TR?
Ans: TR means Tons of Refrigeration, which (1 TR) is equivalent to 13 LPM.
3. What is COC? How can it related with the Electrolytic Scale Remover?
Ans: COC means Cycle of Concentration. Normally one COC will take 2-3 Hrs to complete, since there is a salt content in the water. Once the ElSr is installed, over a period of time this COC will be improved and it will take lesser time and also the electricity will be saved.
4. What is the electricity consumption of ElSr?
Ans: 1 Cu. Mtr./Hr consumes 0.022 Unit OR One cell consume 4W (0.004 Unit), if it operates for an hour
5. How do calculate the capacity of ElSr?
Ans: The capacity of ElSr should be calculated based on processed water outlet flow in Cu. Mtr/Hour. For example the recirculation flow (Processed outlet to cooling Tower) is 912 Cu. Mtr/Hour then the capacity of ElSr is 1000 TR.
6. What are reflective parameters in the process after installation of ElSr?
Ans: Conductivity, Change in Temperature and Approach Value
7. What is Reactor?
Ans: Reactor contains Anode & Cathode. In the basic design, the outer casing of Reactor is called Cathode and the anode is placed in centre of the cathode.
8. What should be the minimum flow of Reactor?
Ans: In Cooling Tower Application, it should be 4600 LPH and for Membrane Application maximum Flow is 1000 LPH per reactor.
9. Normally in traditional chlorine dosing there is a danger of excess chlorine which causes irritation and itching and eye burning in particular in swimming pool application. How this problem is over come in present system?
Ans: For the application of swimming pool, chlorine production is auto controlled for the maximum of 5 ppm. On other side, it will be control by metering pump only, based on the flow of water the Cl2 content is also vary.
10. What is the minimum TDS expected for the good functioning of ElSr system?
Ans: Tiaano ElSr system for swimming pool can work with TDS of minimum 800 ppm.
